The great thing about fly fishing in Hesse is that you can experience a very varied fishery here!
No matter whether you are fishing with large streamers for pike and zander in the Rhine and Main or whether you are fishing for trout and grayling with dry flies and streamers. And you can even outwit noses, barbels and carp here with the nymph.
You can fly fish in Hesse using almost all relevant fly fishing techniques! And with the help of our fly fishing school in Hesse, we will help you learn and refine these techniques.
For example, have you ever caught large trout directly on the surface of the water with a “mouse fly”? If not, we would be happy to show you how something like this works!

As soon as your reservation is confirmed, our guide will contact you again (to clarify all other basic details with you). On the guiding day itself, you will meet directly by the water and your guide will first introduce you to the water. If you can already cast a fly rod to some extent, we will guide you directly to the fish. Alternatively, we will first teach you the most important basics of casting with a fly rod. Of course, your guide never fishes with you - but is always there to give you help and advice! Our guides will also take great souvenir photos of you or help you organize all the licenses and equipment you need (rental equipment can usually be rented from the guide).

Further information:
- You must bring your valid fishing license
- Your guide will help you obtain the remaining fishing license (billing will be done with the guide)
- Fly fishing equipment (rod, reel, line) can be rented for €30 if available
- Ideally, you should bring your own pair of waders with you when guiding (you may be able to rent one for €30 if available)
- After you register, the guide will contact you again and explain the exact guiding process

- Depending on the availability of our guides, we offer guiding throughout Hesse.
- As a rule, the guide selects the water according to the target fish and the conditions of the day.
